Oh! This is a "Kinley" story! My youngest granddaugher who is 2 yrs. old. She turns 3 in Sept!
She has just learned to swim this summer w/o her swimmies. So, she is underwater swimming away!! Just a little waterbug! Our daughter Sam, was showing Kinley how to check her heartbeat to see if she should get out and rest, the other day, so last night Sam asks Kinley, "Kinley, did you check your heartbeat?" Without missing a beat, Kinley says, "Jesus, is knocking on my heart!" Sam says, "that's right Kinley...Jesus lives in our heart!" Kinley then replies, "Jesus is knocking on my heart, HE wants to get out and go swimming!"
Is that just the cutest saying out of one of God's little cherubs!
I can't top that...so I'll close and just be so Thankful that my grandbabies will grow up knowing the LOVE of JESUS in their precious little hearts!
All praises to you LORD!!
AMEN!

Whew! Where did the time go since Easter! It's middle of summer and Sam is about 4 weeks from starting school again! It's been busy! David and I just hopped in the car and started driving a few weeks back. I wanted to drive old 98 back towards my stomping grounds. It was one of the best rides ever. We rode and stopped when we felt like it! We ate lunch in Crystal River. I had my all time favorite...fried mullet!! It was ok...but I love it, no matter what! We then stopped at David's friend's place near Perry...(aka a hunting man camp) The grounds were pretty and peaceful. The cabin....well...it's hard for me to enjoy relaxing w/deer eyes on the wall staring at me!! David drove me around the acreage which was beautiful. We saw an eagle, and 1 deer. Would love to be there in the fall (w/no hunters). I'm sure it would be even more beautiful! We then left and drove into Perry and ate at another local restaurant. Guess what I got??....you're right, some more fried mullet! This batch was even better.
We then turned west on 98 toward Carrabelle, Apalachicola, Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach, and then into my home sweet home, where David and I met 38 years ago...Panama City!!! The drive was beautiful, nostalgic and kind of sad. To see the economic depressed areas from over zealous, greedy developers! Lots of for sale signs and closed business'. We hit some hard rain in going into Port St. Joe, and decided we would keep going into PC. We surprised my Mom and called her to meet up with her. We took her to lunch the next day. Wanted to tried the newly reopened Shrimp Boat, but it wasn't open for lunch and went to Uncle Ernie's instead. Had a nice lunch and then headed out for our drive home. Yes, it was a long drive , but it was nice to go somewhere unannounced, and then just leave like you were 20 mins away, instead of 8 hours!!
Will do again for sure! It was very relaxing and I really enjoyed David's XM radio with hits from the 60's! Good ride for David and myself!
July 4th rolled around, and not much planned w/kids gone, but we did enjoy dinner at LeeRoy Selmon's ...and then home to watch the fireworks in our LR, on the big screen from NYC and Washington DC...with the A/C blowing cool air!!
Had our big 4th picnic on Sunday, as my sister (Sally) was coming to visit and Sam and her family came along w/David's mom.
Now we anxiously await "Baby Kole" and his Sept. due date. The girls will be back in school, as Sam will be too. She will get about 4 weeks in before due date. Karsyn is anxious to start kindergarden and Kinley will be in the 3 yr. old class. She too is anxious as she will get to go on the big playground!
Better go...sure there is something to clean!!
